Good friends Chuck & Emily were whisked away via jet plane from their cold North Carolina weather to an elopement on tropical Kauai; the garden island. It's called this because it's green. It's green because it rains and the winter is the rainy season. During this time, it's hit or miss but we normally make due if the weather looks iffy with either a location change or an umbrella.
Emily and I studied art together in college. She's a talented painter and jewelry designer. Check her work out here. Chuck runs a kick-ass music venue / watering hole in Wilmington NC called Reggies 42nd Street Tavern. I highly recommend a visit if in the area. Who knows, you might even see him on stage singing in his band Thunderlip...check them out here. Their two kids Max and Henry watched from the side with my wife Bimini and daughter Lucia as the ceremony was blessed by the rain and wind that seemed to immediately dry it. We laughed, took a few photos before the rain set in and drove east for a Hukilau Lanai reception. Our conversations still about art, music and what inspires us but also about parenting, our mortgages and how we can't hold our liquor like we used to. Miss you guys already.
