The Tale of the Shipwrecked Siren

In Greek mythology, the Sirens were dangerous yet beautiful creatures, who lured nearby sailors with their enchanting music and voices to shipwreck on the rocky coast of their island. It's said that one siren remained too close to a ship admiring her fatal handiwork and washed up herself. She roamed the island for days until tired and bored. Legend says she wandered back to the edge of the ocean waiting for the tide to take her home. Others say she stays in the waves now luring land dwellers to their watery grave.
